The museum is simply but well presented with materials in multiple languages, including braille.
A modern and interactive museum. The audioguided tour took us about an hour and a half.
After sightseeing, it is worth going to the Naxos Tavern, right next to the church. Traditional Greek cuisine, one of the best dinners we ate in Crete.
You'll see the actual handwritten manuscripts along with possessions of the great man whilst learning of the history of his life and the political and religious impact his writing generated.
Interactive exhibits along with audio guides help make this an interesting experience even for kids.

There's a shop and in addition a kafeneio / local cafe to enjoy a coffee or a beer in the shade after your visit.
