This winter, Rodakas invites children to learn the fascinating art of weaving in our workshop in Margarites! Designed for young creatives, this program offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of textiles and traditional craftsmanship. Guided by experienced instructors, children will discover the magic of transforming threads into beautiful creations.

Workshop Format:

The workshop runs for two weekends each month, engaging children for 4 hours on Sunday of the first weekend, and 4 hours on Saturday and another 4 on Sunday of the second weekend.

Dates:

The weekends are not necessarily consecutive. Please see the schedule below for specific dates.

Enrollment:

Instructors:

• Despina Pantelaki-Somaki: Despina has been teaching weaving for five years at the Lyceum Club of Greek Women in Chania. Her weavings have been acquired by Chanel, and Dior has expressed interest in her work. She collaborates with the Greek brand Gaenus by Eftychia Sarri in London and other notable fashion houses.

• Irini Xanthioti: Irini holds a degree in Business Administration and Education from the Athens University of Economics and Business, specializing in marketing. She studied theatre education at the School of Play in Athens and learned the art of weaving and textile crafts alongside Despina Somaki and Manolis Kouratoras at the Rodakas Workshop in Crete.
