The “Vendema” festival, celebrating the abundance and harvest of the Viannos region, is back for another year! This two-day event, organized by the Cultural Beautification Association of Kastri “I Flega” in collaboration with the Municipality of Viannos and the support of the Region of Crete, will take place on Saturday, August 17th, and Sunday, August 18th, 2024.

A Celebration of Abundance

The word “vendema” in the Cretan dialect is associated with the abundant fruiting of olive trees, but it also signifies a general abundance and prosperity. The festival aims to showcase the rich variety of local products that Viannos has to offer, highlighting the region’s fertile land and the dedication of its producers.

Visitors can expect a vibrant celebration of Cretan culture, featuring local delicacies, traditional music and dance, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
