The Cultural Association of Kassani, with the support of the Region of Crete, is hosting the 4th Annual Onion Festival on August 16th, 2024. This event celebrates the exceptional quality of the locally grown onions and offers visitors a chance to learn about their unique, exclusively organic cultivation.
A Celebration of Flavor and Tradition
The festival kicks off at 9:00 PM with a traditional feast and lively music by Kostas Saridakis’ band. Guests will have the opportunity to savor the delicious Kassani onions prepared in various ways by skilled local chefs.

Beyond the culinary delights, the festival provides a platform for visitors to interact directly with the onion producers, gaining insights into their organic farming practices and the dedication that goes into cultivating these exceptional onions.
